I know many of you just finished with Unified for your kids. I’m guessing that might be us in a few years. My D is a freshman in HS and this thread is invaluable! We finished her application for Interlochen and decided to apply for both the MT 3 week workshop as well as singer songwriter (which is her passion). Now we wait for the decision.
I honestly don’t know how she stacks up versus the competition. I think she’s pretty good but then again I’m her Mom! I’ve been in pretty good communication with someone at Interlochen and asked that she be considered and a decision made on both programs, not just her first choice. Also checked the box for the merit scholarship at the last minute. Hopefully by asking for that it won’t reduce her chance of admission. Anyone know about the merit scholarship?
They said we should hear in late February. Anyone else out there have apps in for summer programs that have had experience in the past? Love to hear any commentary.
