Interlochen VS Harvard SSP

Okay, so I got into Interlochen (a prestigious boarding arts academy) for musical composition, and was also admitted into Harvard's SSP (Summer Studies Program). Which should I choose? I love both the humanities and music, so this decision is a very difficult one.

Your post is confusing. Interlochen Arts Academy is a boarding school, not a summer program. Maybe what you are admitted to is Interlochen Arts Camp? That would mean you are choosing btwn two summer programs. Is that your question?

Logomachy, logomachy :P. Yes. I'm choosing between the two summer programs.

My end game? What do you mean?

Professional musician? Scholar of some other interest?

I was at IAC for 8 years. I had a great experience there. Things are somewhat different now. Have you carefully evaluated the faculty for
composition?

I'm honestly not sure, though in the back of my mind I'm pretty sure that I'll end up being a scholar, unless I somehow discover that I'm much more talented with composition than I think that I am. :P.

And no, I haven't really evaluated them closely, though they look superbly qualified for their jobs.

I'm also concerned about the actual LIVING experience: is it true that at Interlochen they have "forced fun" and other such things?

You are in HS so I have no idea what you mean by forced fun. There are some requirements for attending events, yes. Like I said I had a blast there.
I met amazing people of the staff/camper/faculty varieties. The campus is beautiful albeit remote. Weather is nice. You looked at the daily schedule?
That is about all you need to know.

Ya, I'm familiar with the Arts Camp Interlochen, not the boarding school.

"Forced Fun" at Interlochen is nothing like it sounds. Trust me, people say the term with a smile.

I've been to Interlochen as well. You're welcome to PM me if you have any questions about camp life and whatnot.
