Can a current cornell student tell me if Talia Bar teaches Intermediate microeconomics in the spring? Her lecture clashes with intro to psych which is only taught in the fall.

She has taught Intermediate Microeconomics in the Spring before and probably would teach again in the Spring, like last Spring Semester.

However, I can’t guarantee that she will since she might have to take a semester off to go somewhere and conduct business, etc.
Besides, there are other professors that teach the material at different times.

yeah the only problem is that the other 2 profs are reviewed pretty badly on ratemyprof. do you think i should hold off psych till fall 2012 or is it possible psych might not be conducted as well.

I don’t want to stop you from taking a psych since you’re interested in it.
With psych, 99% sure it’s going to be taught every fall, it usually does.
With econ, there’s a good chance Bar is gonna be on campus to teach it during spring.

The other teacher who teaches it is Wissink. If that’s one of the reviewed professors, I can tell you what she’s like. She is pretty much powerpoint and through the textbook, and there is such thing as powerpoint poison. You’ll end up better off cracking a book open and self teach it yourself. Her tests aren’t that bad.

Though, Bar seems worth waiting for in the Spring since she actually “teaches” the material, talks people through the topics, and there’s one very awesome thing she does, but you’ll have to take the class to find out.

tl;dr - Stick with your original plan, I’m fairly certain it’ll work out exactly like you planned with Psych in the fall and Econ in the Spring

i dont intend to major in psych but i think it’s interesting to try an intro course, plus it’s one of THE courses at cornell to take. thanks so much though.
