I'm a rising senior in high school and here's my plan:
Attend Pace University and major in finance
Intern in summer

I was wondering is it how difficult would it be for a freshman to get an internship because I assumed that because Pace University is located in New York, there would be a lot of opportunities to intern and I'm bound to get at least one.

It is pretty easy to get an internship, regardless of ‘grade’. I managed to get an internship before I even started school. As long as you actively search you will find something. Disclaimer, you won’t be able to get an internship at major firms as they usually want college juniors but smaller companies shouldn’t be a problem.

It will be a bit more of a challenge simply due to the fact that a lot of companies would rather hire a sophmore or junior over a freshman, but its definitely possible. As dedal stated, its going to be pretty much impossible with the major firms unless you have connections but you can definitely search around and try to find some smaller ones and contact them.
