Internal Business School Transfer

My daughter is currently enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and wishes to switch to the business school. She is a first year student but almost a junior by credit hours. She is also in the Honors College. Does anyone know how competitive transferring into the business school is or a timeline of when she should hear back about their decision? Thanks.

Honestly, I’m doubtful anyone on here can really give you an accurate answer to that. She should talk to both the Business School and Cross-Campus Advising.

I have friends who switched from Bio to Nursing (also a competitive program), and they just entered in with the current applicant class (which I believe are sophomores). I don’t know anyone who did that with international business though.

Actually my son applied to the business school this past fall from the college of arts & science. It was very confusing to me, but he figured it all out. From what I remember, he filled out an online app first and got an email that stated his app had been accepted. Then, he didnt find out until Halloween (oct 31st) if he had been accepted. I thought he would find out sooner and around the middle of October I started asking if he had heard anything. I remember only cause of fall break and he was home. He ended up going to his advisor at the honors college and he ( if I remember correctly) told my son it was in the email that stated his application was accepted. I think that is right. Once my son re-read the email, I remember him texting and saying he wouldn’t find out until late October. I do think he got a contact from his honors advisor too and did follow up that way too. But, it was confusing. I remember he has to get released from the school of arts & science too. I don’t know the deadline for spring but I would say it was 6 weeks after he applied before we heard. And have her re-read the email that came when her app was accepted. It might say when they should here. If not, go to her honors advisor and also cross campus. All those should help!
