Hi guys, so I got into Cornell CHE for the Fall and I was super excited about studying all different kinds of subjects, meanwhile staying true to myself and focusing on what I’m interested in. But when I was choosing my schedule, I found courses in CAS that I never knew I would be interested in before (subjects such as philosophy or classics or spanish). Turns out Cornell makes it impossible to double major across colleges, unless you want to stay an extra year, which I don’t. So I was wondering, would Cornell frown upon me transferring again? And how difficult would it be? I don’t want Cornell to think I am playing them. It’s just that I’m indecisive about my interests and future.
It’s perfectly fine, just enroll in class in both colleges. I transferred from engineering to the hotel school. It isn’t too difficult of a process. (unless into engineering or AAP) There are quite a few internal transfers each year. You just might have to wait till the end of your freshman year before it is official, meanwhile you just need to take classes that fulfill your target major/college and stay in good academic standing.
What year are you? If you’re going into your sophomore year, it’s doable if you enroll in CAS classes now and plan ahead. If you’re headed into your junior year, you wouldn’t be able to.
@Ranza123 Yea ill be a sophomore coming in, so I wont be able to study abroad my junior year.
