Internal Transfer ILR to engineering

anyone who knows about transferring...

what's the process like?
Is ILR to engineering possible/easy?
when can transfers happen, at the earliest?

If you want to transfer colleges, you have to go through Internal Transfer:

[Office of Internal Transfer](http://internaltransfer.cornell.edu/)

There’s a lot of useful info there. I suppose the transfer could happen as early as your second semester, but you’re required to start out in the college in which you’re enrolled.

I’m sure it’s doable, but I don’t think ILR to engineering is a very common path.

ILR to COE is not common at all! Engineering typically has a fairly large outflow of students, typically to CAS and CALS. But if you can hack it, then more power to you. For internal transfers, they are going to look at your GPA in science and math. Make sure that it’s over a 2.7. Otherwise, you’re a marginal candidate.
