Internal Transfer Pre-Freshman year, UCONN?

Hey guys!
I recently applied to University of Connecticut and was accepted, but my parents were adamant about me living home and not going to the Storrs campus for a while so i was forced to apply to a regional campus first choice.
Recently they've changed their minds and have said i can live at the main campus if possible. Is it at all possible that i can get an internal transfer before freshman year in roughly 2months? I've already begun to contact UCONN about it, but what are the odds? What can i do to make it happen?
I really don't want to live at home with the current situation and commuting 45min each way is just very undesirable. After attending my freshman orientation I really want to switch campuses and either commute to Storrs or live there. With the current situation and my class schedule there will be days I'm up in Hartford for 12hours a day, driving back and forth 45min each way between classes just would not work at all. Also, this is the closest regional campus. I wish i had applied to Storrs directly before, but the past is the past i suppose.
Any suggestions? Things i could do to possibly get the odds more in my favor? I know it is so last minute, thank so much for any and all help! It means alot.

You definitely have to reach out to the admissions people but to be honest I don’t think your chances are that great since the policy is really strict in terms of transferring campuses. I’m at the Storrs Campus trying to transfer into a branch for a semester or two and they strictly told me that I’d have to have 54 calculable credits prior to transferring. If you really want to join Uconn this year, you should look into either going to one of the state universities or community colleges (I’m being totally serious here) for a semester and then transferring as opposed to going to a Uconn branch. Uconn has GPA and Credit requirements to go from a branch to the main campus (I’ve heard that if you get a 3.5 gpa first semester at a branch you could transfer into storrs for the spring, you might want to look into this to see if this policy is still in place)

However, as long as you get a 3.0 + taking at least 4 classes at community college/State University which should be relatively easy then you could easily transfer in for spring. That being said definitely contact as many people as possible in the registrar to see if a last minute change to Storrs would be possible but don’t count on housing as there is a long line on a waiting list for that

Appreciate it Husky. I’m planning on setting up a meeting with a student counselor/admissions person sometime next week once the offices are open again since no one is very helpful over the phone. I’ve been looking into some other state colleges but some say they’re full, however i would imagine Southern is not.
