Hi so this question is pretty specific and I'm not sure if anyone has been in a similar situation that could offer me help.

Basically I am currently in Liberal Arts looking to transfer in to Advertising. One of the requirements for the college of communications is to take a course outside of ur major but in the college of communications. I want to take CMS 306M however the only one still open is open only to Liberal Arts students. I could register for it since I am currently in lib arts but my question is would i get the same credit as a regular CMS 306M class that wasn't restricted to liberal arts?

thank you in advance :)

Yes. All three sections of 306M on that page are the same, it’s just that the LibArts and Business schools “reserve”, so to speak, certain spots since they know so many students will be taking them.

But! Register now, and keep refreshing that page over the next few days for better times. I am a business major and I wanted 306M this semester, but all classes were always closed. I kept checking several times, every day, and eventually one that fits perfectly in my schedule opened up. People drop every so often, and at seemingly random times during the day.

awesome, thank you. Unfortunately I can’t register now because my transfer orientation to UT is tomorrow and so I wont be able to register until tomorrow, hopefully it will still be available.
