I'm a sophomore in community college and want to apply as Public Affairs. I'm applying as International Relations and Global Studies in the Spring because COLA is easier to get into (at least, the cut-off is around 3.5, and the highest I'd be able to get is a 3.4 [I will/have good ec's and essays, so don't worry I have things to back me up]) and because I, of course, have an interest in it. But I've gotten to thinking how it's not a really useful degree in terms of the workforce. I mean, I'm aiming to go to medical school, but still, if I decide not to go, don't get in, etc.

Anyways, I also have an interest in Public Affairs, and I'm talking hypothetically because I'm not sure on my choice yet, but: would it be easy or hard to internally transfer from COLA to CoC?

I've been doing light research, and saw one person get in with a 3.3 GPA, or that the min. was 2.5, etc. But then I go on the UT website and see that it's "competitive, selective", limited space. Junior year I have to take classes for my major right? I don't want to take Public Affairs classes (I know you have to take the requirement class for Public Affairs, but I mean other classes besides that) and then end up getting denied and having wasted a semester on nothing, with pre-med classes on top of that.

Does anyone know the stats of internal transfers into Coc? Partially Public Affairs or Advertisement (keeping my options open)?

Thank you!
