I am trying to get into the engineering school for ME and was wondering if there is anyone who has successfully done an internal transfer to give me more information on how it works? I have a 3.9 gpa and I am in the college of natural sciences. I already submitted an application for spring 2012 but have not heard a word. Any info is appreciated! :)

I don’t have any personal experience to share, but according to those tables, past transfers had at least a 3.85 GPA. Apparently mechanical and civil engineering have a preference for in-state applicants so being in-state should give you a decent boost.

I tried searching up old threads to see if there was more information on the admissions process, but I cant seem to find anything… just that internal transfer chart. I was wondering if there was currently anyone out there that is in the same situation as me?

I’m trying to transfer as well to ME (from EE). The internal transfer adviser told me that decisions would be posted Christmas eve, but I haven’t heard back either.

The lady who I talked to told me that decisions would be sent out during the first week of January, but I’m not exactly sure how we are evaluated since there is no essay or anything at all on the application. What was your GPA, if I may know?

I have a 3.77 GPA, so I’m right on the border for past years. She told me it was an objective process–which is why no essay is required. This is from the internal transfer website:

The only issue I find with this is the fact that they let people apply even without the 24 hour in residence requirement (this happened to me). I suppose all we can do for the moment is wait. Keep me updated if you hear any news.
