Internal Transfer

I'm trying to transfer from CAS to Tisch drama dept. I have a 1590 SAT and a 3.93 GPA. I also want to study at Atlantic, which I feel is one of the less popular studios. My audition will probably be fairly strong. Is there anything I can do to convince admissions that I really need to transfer? I feel like sending in an extra essay or something. Does anybody have any advice? Thanks!

You're in CAS now? As what, a freshman? The thing that is going to convince them to admit you is your audition, not an extra essay. When is your audition? Btw, Atlantic is definitely NOT one of the less popular studios, it's the most difficult drama studio, after CAP21, to get into. Your grades are obviously good, though, which is a bonus for you because Atlantic has the smartest actors in Tisch.

My audition is on the 28th, do you have any advice? I am a freshman now. Are you in Tisch?

No, I'm in CAS but I have a couple of friends in Atlantic. The only advice I can give is to prepare your monologues well for your audition. Best of luck to you. My friends love Atlantic.

Really? I thought the hardest besides CAP was Stella Adler.

You learn something new every day!

I'm hoping to be a freshman in CAP next year myself.
