Internally transferring into Ross?

I recently was admitted undeclared to Michigan for LSA, I was wondering if I could internally transfer to Ross after my freshman year, if I attend, and what the transfer rates were. I hope to pursue Investment Banking so Ross would help a lot.

If you did not apply preadmit, you have the option of transferring into Ross next Spring. Nobody knows the transfer rates since they vary significantly from year to year, especially with all the changes that the program is currently going through. That being said, if you maintain a 3.8+ GPA and get involved in student life, the odds of transferring to Ross are good.

Next year they will only take 100 transfers. Much different now No-one knows how hard it will be, or admit rate. Prior years they took many more transfers. I assume it will be very difficult.

Prior years they took 500 internal transfers but next year will take only 100 internal transfers because the other 500 are preadmits

ok thank you for the information! @Eeeee127 @BigPapiofthree @Alexandre

While it is true that Michigan will only take 100 transfers starting next year, unless previous years, students who applied preadmit will not be allow to apply to transfer. As such, I expect the number of transfer applicants to decline significantly. It will be interesting to see how things go from here.

Which is a rule that makes little sense. You have a strong interest in business and Ross, you don’t get directly admitted, you prove yourself freshman year with great academics and greats ECs, yet you have no opportunity.

The only result is that those with that business interest will go to the IUs, Fordham’s, PSU’s and alike.

It may not make sense, but it certainly makes it easier for students trying to transfer into Ross once at Michigan.
