I am a international student currently attend ing a high school in California as a junior. I have been studied in the US since the second semester of freshman year. On the UC website, they say that if the language of instruction is English for the last 3 years, the TOEFL test could be exempt. But my question is, does it count my senior year also? Do I need to take TOEFL?
You need to contact them directly about this.
My advice as a college ESL teacher is that you go ahead and take the TOEFL. You need to know if you really are ready to study in college, or if you need a few more classes in Academic English. Your ESL teachers should be able to recommend some good exam preparation materials so that you review the right things before you take that test.
I believe I will be perfectly fine… since I am actually taking 4 ap classes including US history. but for some school it doesn’t matter even if you score 800 on the SAT…
