As an applicant from the US, the U of Toronto application seemed daunting and confusing. I finished it in January and have yet to hear a decision. Toronto is tied for my top choice (with U of Colorado-Boulder), and I am anxiously awaiting my decision.

Has anyone from the US heard from Toronto yet (good or bad news)? I have heard that decisions will be mailed by May 28th, but most US schools require a deposit by May 1. Does this mean that I should send a deposit to another
school if I don't hear before May 1st?

When I applied for Undergraduate four years ago (I lived/live in Toronto), I received my decision some time in April, after all the other universities that I had applied to. If you were a borderline acceptance, sometimes you didn't get any word until June. It was pretty pathetic if you ask me. But, it's a good school and I kinda like it here barring the incredible amount of administrative ********.

My DS who is now a freshman at UofT received his acceptance in late Feb last year, but he had submitted his application before the holidays. His first term grades were received by UofT around Feb 1 and he was accepted a few weeks later. We are also from Mass.
He loves UofT.

I'm from California, and I applied late December.
They just informed me of my acceptance through email today! :)
I'm not sure if I'm going, but it's definitely one of my better schools amongst other US schools I applied to.

Ugh I'm still waiting for a response too, and I got a really good scholarship offer from my second choice college. All of you guys who got in, what kind of grades/SAT scores/classes do you have? I've got a 3.9 (weighted) three AP classes and pretty much all honors otherwise and 1330 SATs. I can't think of a reason I wouldn't get in but maybe they're just random like some schools here.

edit: oh and SAT I = 740 verbal, 590 math (kinda suck at math), SAT II, U.S. History- 630 (definitely shouldn't have taken that), molecular bio- 650, literature- 770. I'm applying as an English major so I'm hoping my English scores will help me out.

Oh and class rank is 117 out of 361, so top third but barely. Toronto has had my app. since November and my mid-years were filed as of the 20th. All my friends found out from Virginia state schools today so I'm getting really anxious. Visiting Toronto over spring break and I'd rather not be depressed the entire time I'm there.

edit: I should not be on the computer this late. My writing SAT I score is a 680. Figured I'd throw in all the scores/grades I have.

That's kind of odd since online it says that anything below 500 is unacceptable, and only that most people have scores over 600 for everything.

edit: This is going to sound very stalkerish, but I was freaking out about the 600 cut-off thing and checked out the previous posts elsewhere in this forum of the people who got their acceptances already to try and find their SAT scores. One person has a 560 math and lower scores on critical reading than me, although they have a much high writing score. I'm hoping that means I don't need to worry too much.

Hello, it's my first time posting.
I am an international student from Japan.
It seems like many of you have already heard from UT^^
Congratulations!
I was accepted to every other school i applied to (all in Canada) except U of T.
(and my first choice is U of T!!!)

My application status still says that my apps have not been reviewed yet, and just now, they finally updated that they've received the transcript my school sent like a month ago.

Is there anyone else still waiting for decisions to be made??

hey ringocandystar! i haven't heard yet. although my app status says its under review. funny thing is i've submitted everything around feb and they got it 2nd week of march. so i guess still waiting.
