international affairs major and co-op

hey i was wondering how the international affairs major is like at Northeastern, and what are some of the potential co-ops for this major.
Also, is northeastern a better school than BU?
i know BU is more well-known, but the acceptance rate is higher and it's more expensive

yeah id also like to know the whole BU vs. NEU
ive applied to both and im unsure :/

Well, BU has a better national reputation, but a lot of people think it's not as good a school as it's made out to be. As far as acceptances, BU used to be harder to get into but based on what I've seen, that's no longer the case.

Really, if you're choosing between BU and NU, it can't be about reputation or which is a "better" school. People choose between the two based on fit, because they really are different schools. They're both urban, but NU has a more centralized campus, the programs are different, they have different feels. You'd just have to visit both.

I don't know much about majoring in international affairs, I have friends in some similar fields and they've gotten pretty good co-ops in law firms, political campaigns, non-profits, etc, although they tend to not pay very well. I can say that I took an international affairs course and it was an amazing, one of my favorite classes and professors I've had at NU.
