<p>hi i'm kind of new to this but here goes...i'm a junior at one of the best prep schools and i'm looking into political science or international affairs and i was wondering what some good schools to look at might be/what my chances are.</p>
<p>i have a 3.9 unweighted, but i'm not sure how much honors classes add. our school does offer ap classes (or give a+'s) but i will take at least 7 aps by the time i graduate. i'm also hispanic and i have a legacy at uw and columbia. i'm on student government, the assembly committee, the curriculum committee, a Senior leader, a swim captain, head stage manager, peer tutor, and a member of two outside of school leadership opportunities. i have 715 service hours in under three years at high school and have been part of the youth and government, model united nations, blood drive team, and amnesty international clubs at my school for three years. i also play lacrosse (2 years), swim (3 years) and participate in the ultimate frisbee and cross country ski clubs.</p>
<p>last summer i was a lifeguard and this summer i will be a camp counselor at an academic camp our school runs. i can't think of anything else at the moment, but i would really appreciate your advice! thanks!</p>
