Yeah, you know what I mean, Jacobs University in Bremen, American University of Paris, Franklin College Switzerland, Schiller International University Madrid, etc... (list more if you know) In general, how good are these colleges (would be good if you listed specific examples) compared to other US universities, and to "real" European universities?

Or how about St. Louis University in Madrid? It seems like the educational quality there would be similar to the educational quality at St. Louis University in the U.S., but how awesome it would be to be in Madrid...

Look at the number of classes each college is offering spring semester 2007.

All those that I have cited (Jacobs University in Bremen, American University of Paris, Franklin College Switzerland, Schiller International University Madrid) have programs in International Relations, which is what I want to study. St Louis University in Madrid would be really convenient for me, as the tuition is not that expensive, and I am from Madrid (which really facilitates things). However, they don't have an IR program, which is why I am not considering it.
Does anyone else have any thoughts on these International/American Universities in Europe?

I work with a woman whose daughter goes to Franklin. She is a sophomore this year and absolutely loves it. My co-worker mostly talks about her daughter's travels. They have required travel every semester, so she has been to some wonderful places. She also showed me some pictures of the campus. It is very small, but the dorms (doubles) are big. However, they are adding a third person to each of the dorm rooms next year. The library is tiny - it used to be a bomb shelter. The campus is kind of spread out along a hillside next to a monastery. The pictures show the area to be gorgeous.

Whoa that sounds really good. Do you know anything about the academics over there?

Forget about American University of Paris or Schiller International University - Madrid, I haven't read any really good things about those two. However, Franklin College Switzerland and Jacobs University Bremen are really starting to interest me. Especially Franklin, since it's located in Italian-speaking Switzerland, and I am half-italian (and I speak italian fluently), so that would make things a lot easier. Just so you know, I am interested in International Politics & History for Jacobs, and International Relations for Franklin.
What can you all tell me about the academics at these two universities (especially the IR programs)?

Isn't American University of Rome a pretty good school ?

I dunno, can someone give some info?

..........

hi...i'm thinking of going to the American University of Paris. r6mile, what is it that you read about it? can any one of you give me any info?

oh, r6mile, i know that the university in bremen has very good science programs, but as far as i know their humanities programs aren't all that good.

Some people in my school have applied to the American University of Paris, but just to have a safety. No one was thinking of going there if they were accepted somewhere else (which they all were). I don't think it's very good, althought I don't know much about it. This is the case for many international american universities in Europe apparently, they are too expensive (way too expensive), and often not very good (except a few like Jacobs University Bremen).

huumh.. i also got accepted to Jacobs University Bremen, but since i'm not planning to major in something science realted, i don't know if it's such a good choice for me. however, i don't know all that much about IUB.is it that good? do you know anything about their integrated social scineces program?

AUP gets a bad rap which is unfortunate. There are a lot of good academic opportunites at the school (I should know, I'm living it). Hit me up with questions if you'd like.
