@_thomas, You seriously should consider more schools than just UCB and Stanford (both are very stingy with aid).
The most liberal is P'ton (unfortunately, they don't accept transfers. But, u can reapply as a freshman).
Also, give a look at places like UT Austin, GA Tech, UPenn, Dartmouth and all which are very good.

Yeah, I do consider other schools too. I'm just aiming for Berkeley/Stanford.

Well, enough said, I don't want to hijack your whole thread ;)

why would AP scores have anything to do with financial aid? not to mention financial aid AFTER u joined the college? in most top universities (less public Us), financial aid is usually need-based. and more often than not, you can only apply for financial aid when you applied for admission. once admitted without financial aid, you cannot apply for it after you got it, especially for need-based aid. merit-based scholarships may still be available based on freshmen grades or something, but most certainly not AP grades. APs are only useful in college admissions, course placement, and course credits.

Your wrong there woebegone.
When I called Cornell Fin Aid, they said U can reapply for aid or apply for a grant first semester itself. And a solid AP score helps you in getting those.

i still haven't gotten mine yet. what's up with the delays?? this didn't happen last year
is collegeboard slacking off on their job, or is there some other reason?
