I need to know about the social scene, and how left out one would feel if he/she isn't into partying.

Also, it would be of great help if anyone gave me some idea about international students' chances at financial aid !

Hello! Colby works really hard to provide alternate activities during the weekends to ensure that everyone has something to do!

About the aid, these stats are probably old, but check them out, they might give you an idea:
[Top 25 Financial Aid Colleges in US for International Students (Need-aware) - Desperate Guide: Undergraduate College Financial Aid, Scholarship](http://www.desperateguide.com/us/top-25-financial-aid-colleges-in-us-for-international-students-need-aware)
Colby’s student body is 7% international. 85% of those internationals were awarded need-based aid, and the average award is 44,119. With no loans, which is great.

It’s very competitive to get in, but if you’re accepted, Colby will give you good aid (if you need it).

Good luck!

Hello there,
I am tossed between a few good school and is having a hard time deciding…
Can someone tell me what a typical Colby student is like ?
I also heard lots of students drink and do drugs at Colby, is that true ?
How can you study and drink and do drugs and still do well ?
Thanks for the info.

Hi,

It’s true that Colby students party quite a lot, especially on the weekends. Many students drink, but there’s also a lot of students who don’t. As for drugs, I don’t think what you heard is true (at least as far as I’m concerned). If you don’t like parties, there are special-interest dorms for you.
Despite the party scene, Colby students manage to do really well in academics. The reason for that? Well, I guess Colby adcoms make good decisions in selecting students with high academic potential :)
