International Applicant Questions

Are Canadian permanent residents placed into the international pool or the domestic pool at Pomona? I am asking because I've heard some colleges consider Canadians equal to American applicants.

What is the percentage of international students that get accepted WITH financial aid to Pomona? What kind of qualifications would an applicant need to get accepted with aid?

What is the percentage of international students that get accepted overall to Pomona?

can someone please try to give me answers?

Why don't you contact the admissions office and financial aid office? I'm sure they can give you much more reliable information than anybody can provide for you here.

FYI, the Admissions office will be closed till monday. @ atomicfusion, did you know the deadline for international applicants is Dec 15th? I sent my application early, but am yet to send in the essay. I'm taking a major risk here, assuming the early (and in my opinion, highly unfair) deadline doesn't apply to the "optional" essay.

crap, i just found out about the early deadline and i sent in my application yesterday! I guess my application is void now? I really did not know about the international deadline, though I really should have. I don't know how I missed it. Did I really send in the application fee and slaved (well, kinda) over the extra essay and art supplement and athletics supplement for nothing???? I hope they're lenient about this, it is before the regular deadline after all. My college counselors never said anything and usually they are very on top of these things, though yes, it is my responsibility. Crap :(

hey, don't worry about it, but maybe you should call up the Admissions office and make sure, to be on the safer side. But I have to say this, that deadline does suck! They should've atleast been considerate enough to make it more obvious or w/e. I only accidentally stumbled across the Dec 15 deadline sometime in october, and probably never would have known otherwise.
