international applicant

Hi,

I've applied to NEU a few weeks ago and I first didn't realize how difficult it is getting accepted and as i've been reading about the huge amount of people applying this year I'm starting to get kind of anxious because this is what I aimed for a very long time and I don't really have a back up plan.

So, my question is if anyone know what my chances are of getting in since I know northeastern puts a lot of pride in their diversity with international students. But, since their are about 4000 internationals applying this year the chances of being accepted aren't that big!

I understand that a person applying gotta have a little more on their CV then just a positive attitude towards NEU. I am in Sweden political active and I am the second vice chairman, in my region of Sweden, of a political Youth party for the ruling party of the country ( not some socialism crap, we got rid of them in the last election! ) and I put a lot of effort and a lot of hours every week into that, and of course I've highlighted this in my application and I also managed to get a recommendation letter from a member of the Swedish parliament which I attached in the application, so, do u think that this is a contributing factor which might get me accepted?

I'd like to get some respondence from someone in the US because you know a whole lot more about the application progress then me in Sweden...

What do you plan on studying? I hope you get admitted–being a Swedish political activist sounds like they type of student NEU would like to have!! But I am just the parent of an admitted student who is interested in activism and is afraid NEU is not strong in the area.

Good luck!

thank you!

I’m actually planning on studying architecture… I have a broadside of interests xD

Note that Northeastern is not need-blind for international applicants, so your financials will be part of your application.

I’m not applying for any financial aid or scholarships so that shouldn’t be a problem.

hey im international too, and i just got the international scholarship and honors program. ur ECs look impressive, good luck with ur app!
