<p>As a gap year applicant, it is very important for you to justify your decision of taking an year off. Don’t just sit with standardized tests and applications. Do something meaningful. Pursue your interests. Show the adcoms that you made your extra year count.</p>
<p>You should definitely take those SAT scores up. SAT Math is fine but the other two sections aren’t. Most colleges do not consider SAT Writing score for admission but that doesn’t mean a low score can escape their eyes.</p>
<p>Also, I advise you to compile a good list of colleges. Don’t just make a list of all the top ones. Make right and reasonable decisions!</p>
