Hi.

So, I'm new here. In fact, I'm new to all of the application processes involved in going to American universities. I only thought of studying in the US a year ago, and since then I have only really become serious about it in the last couple of months. I'm applying to four universities, but Harvard is my top choice.

I've just received an email from a Harvard alumni here in England, who is going to do my interview for me. It's in a week's time and I have no idea what to expect. I have genuinely no idea what my chances are of getting a place.

I took the SATIIs last month, and scored 610 for French and 710 for English Literature. Seems OK to me.. I know the French score is mediocre at best, but would it be acceptable? My results from all my English exams are very good, and hopefully they will take those into account too.

Also, I've seen lots of questions about what to wear to an interview.. mostly "should I wear a suit?" but the majority of these people seem to have interviews in Starbucks! Mine is at Cambridge University, and also I'm a girl and it isn't as simple as 'suit, smart-casual or jeans', so does anyone have any advice on that?

Haha, that seems rather crazy, but I really have no idea what I'm doing and I just hope that whatever it is, it's good enough for the Admissions folks at Harvard! Thank you all for your help (if you decide to give it!).
