<p>Keep in mind that this is a 2002 survey -- the difference may be less dramatic now that the IB is gaining popularity. I'll try to find some more recent data.</p>

<p>The numbers say "yes", but legendofmax is right -- it's definitely not a ticket to automatic acceptance, though I can imagine that it might be a 'tip factor'.</p>

<p>Thanks for posting this. One of my daughters is a rising senior in IB and the other is about to start 9th grade (pre-IB).</p>

<p>Keep in mind when comparing IB students aplicants vs non IB applicants.</p>

<p>Does the average IB applicant have a higher GPA or standardized test score than the non IB group?</p>
