I'm pretty interested in majoring in international business, but I can't really find much information on its practicalities. Sure, every college website says that the major "better prepares the major recipient for a career within the global market," but are employers looking for this type of knowledge? I have never seen an employment add requiring an international business degree, so it just makes me wonder whether or not the extra semester or two in college is worth the time, money, and effort for the secondary degree. Is this extra major just for another line on a resume, or does it actually give a serious edge for employment chances and increased salaries? Just for the record, I have no desire of moving from the States, but I would love to do quite a bit of traveling. Thank you.

If you want to travel, I recommend you go on vacation. Going on business trips isn't real travelling, since you are mainly stuck in jets, hotels, meetings and cabs, meetings, cabs, hotels and jets again, pretty much the whole time you are abroad.
