International Business Programs

I'm a high school junior and I really want to major in international business. I've lived in a couple countries in Europe and am fluent in three languages (including English).
I was looking on US and World News Rankings and they have the University of South Carolina (Moore) ranked as the top i-biz school in the country, but the actual school is pretty low on the National Universities ranking, and the school doesn't appear on any other business specialties rankings.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Also, how recognized is this program among top Wall Street firms?

Thanks!

On the wall street site, they rate Moore 9th for international business....

Here are thier rankings for international business:

1 Thunderbird (Garvin)
2 INSEAD
3 London Business School
4 Columbia University
5 Harvard University
6 Georgetown University (McDonough)
7 IMD, International Institute for Management Development
8 University of Pennsylvania (Wharton)
9 University of South Carolina (Moore)
10 University of California, Berkeley (Haas)

Hope that helps.....

I guess what I'm really asking here is if one good program within the university is good enough to off-set to 112th ranking of the entire university when it comes to applying to b-school and applying for competitive jobs.

no it doesnt...south carolina's job placement will be far inferior to the other schools on the list despite being highly ranked in international business...go with wharton and if u cant get in there go with georgetown...the only other school on the list that even has an undergraduate business program is berkeley but u cant apply to it as a freshman

You should look at Wharton's Huntsman Program.

Does South Carolina have a service to help students get jobs after graduation? Is there a co-op program?

I personally think that you should go for the top 10-15 b-schools, since the first year courses are quite common. Additionally, the top tier schools have better job placements and have good liberal art programs, and you could probably take a few electives from other departments (in your case - international affairs). You should try looking at:

1)Columbia
2)NYU
3)Harvard
4)UCB
