I'm thinking about transferring to Northeastern's international business program after two years at a community college. Is that recommended? Also, would I be able to do a co-op the spring/summer of my middler year?

It is pretty difficult to transfer into the International Business program, even from within Northeastern. I would have been able to apply (not necessarily get in) because I happened to have taken a lot of APs and some of the required courses for BSIB previously. BSIB does a fall co-op, also, and you only do two. One co-op is domestic the fall of your middler year, and the other is during your abroad junior year. You have to take all of the language courses (which are for international business majors only, so I don’t know if taking normal language courses would count) and all of the requirements for the business degree.

Definitely email the advisor for BSIB, because it’s very risky to just hope that you’d be able to do the program. You have to be a very good student, of course, but it’s also just about being able to finish it on time.
