How are my EC’s in general? these are possibly all the EC’s I can get in Iran. We do not have clubs like yours , and the school does not offer any EC’s. our schools are fundamentally different from yours. I may be able to get red Crescent (red cross) training, which is something I greatly like, and would possibly be a great help for a medicine hopeful.
as for your questions :
I am considered white/Middle Eastern. nominally Muslim.
there are many reasons why I like harvard, ranging from The fact that it has excellent and unique neurobiology and medicine programs to the smart and brilliant people I would meet. I also love the ambitious atmosphere of Harvard, which fits my personality very well. one of the reasons I dislike schools in my country is that people here are seldom ambitious.
the college is in a city that is close in size to my home city. from a practical point of view, it will be a great boost to my career and will help me get into a good residency when and If I can stay for a med school and harvard gives better aid. also, in comparison with Yale and Princeton, Harvard students seem to be more Educated minded. E.g: not caring much for the sports and etc. if what I have heard is true. this and many many other things. these were just what I could think of right now.
Harvard is far better than Princeton for grad school and specially medicine, puts more pressure on the students (which I like). Princeton’s big advantage is the focus over undergrad education.
I would need generous financial aid.
I am a boy.
No, I have always been a good boy.
I would say many things, from my ambition ( becoming rich is not my goal. I want to make a difference in the field, to save lives, to change the world, and to make my name last, and I am not afraid of working hard for it. I want my name to stand with those of the likes of Linnaeus and Pasteur) to my EC’s (being a teacher when you are 14 is quite challenging, and parents always give you funny looks and learning programming and web design at the age of 13 is also not something people commonly do here, though I do not know about your country) , my passion for biology and the fact that I have always strove to get ahead of those around by any fair means at my disposal ( from teaching myself to read when I was 4, or studying during summer to skip 2 grades so I can go to a grade where I am challenged) again, I may be able to think of more things, given time.
I wrote them down, because you asked some question that required answers right now ( my gender, my race, my religion, my past) and some that did not, so I figured it is best to write them down. It will also show me if my I have done enough research on the university.
what do you mean by “boy” chance?
While often a meaningful essay for many schools, please note that this is deliberately not a prompt for Harvard. Harvard does not care “Why Harvard?” IMO, Harvard assumes that everyone who applies has a valid reason for selecting H and really is not interested in the “why.” You would be better served ensuring that your uniqueness shines in the essay.
