Can someone please suggest some colleges with relatively high acceptance rate for international students but also do offer full-ride aids? I can only afford $2500-3000 per year

There are no colleges with high acceptance rate and financial aid for international students. Most colleges have very limited funds for international students, so you always have a lot of competition. There is something called “big future college board”, where you can search for colleges with indiviual criteria. You can look for colleges that provide financial aid (“paying”) and have higher admission rates (“applying”). They even show you how many international students are enrolled and how much aid they get. Bates, Carleton, Occidental or University of Richmond have relatively high chances for you. But they are still very competetiv.

What’s your approximate GPA?
(or: compared to students in your country, would you rank among the best? The absolute top 20 in the whole country? the best in your school but not in the country?)
If you took national exams what where the results (ie., IGCSEs, etc)
Have you taken the SAT or ACT? If so, what are your scores? If you took SAT Subjects what are your results?
Have you invented something? Worked on research in a lab or on your own?Ssolved a big problem in your community? Are you a great athlete, for example in soccer (football), tennis, hockey, swimming, or another sport…? Have you won a national or international award in music, science, or anything else?
Without this information, there’s no way to know.
@Wizady: saying that Carleton is a “high chance” for anyone is misguided. This is one of the top 10 colleges in the country… All four universities would, indeed, provide enough financial aid for riwaldo, but they’re not “high chance” for anyone unless that applicant has international-caliber credentials.

Thanks all, do you know of Some colleges with good merit scholarships?? I will score 1400+ CR+M and my GPA will be 4 or very close to 4.

There really aren’t any such schools. If there were, nearly every int’l would send in an app, and then quickly the school would have a LOW acceptance rate.

Your problem is that to get your visa, you’d need to show that you have all costs covered…including personal expenses, travel, insurance, etc. A full ride scholarship doesn’t cover those things.

For instance with a 1400 M+CR, Alabama would give you a very generous full tuition scholarship. If you major in CS or Eng’g, you’d get another $2500 per year. HOWEVER, your family would still have to pay for room, board, travel, personal expenses, etc. So, you’d still be short.

The only colleges that cover full need are the top national private universities and LACs. They are all very selective and competition for scholarships is keen. Look at Grinnell, they have fewer applications, but they’re still very selective. If you are a girl, the women’s colleges may be a solution since they’re also quite generous.

thank you again. I’ll consider grinell too.
