<p>Since the US economy is in ****s and even if the economy is back in order Wall St. won't be the same. With all these new regulation will put some restricts onto banks, HF, & PE. So going international maybe the new answer. They aren't all high and pimp like the US but they can a safer bet and will gain some new experience.

<p>The banks and consulting firms tend to be global organizations. They hire and then deploy people where needed. Unless you want to work for a boutique or a non major consulting firm, your job search strategy doesn't change much.</p>
<p>Take a look at who just acquired some of Lehman's key assets. That would be Bain. The restructure goes on, jobs are very much still there.</p>
