Just because Tufts says that its international and diverse, does this actually mean that the students of different backgrounds actually hang out together? I know what ends up happening a lot at colleges is that the asians stick with the asians, the blacks with the blacks, etc... but is this also true at Tufts? I hope its not... lol

yeah I hope not too, that would suck.

when i've visited, i've noticed a few ethnic cliques....which was a bit disappointing.... but there's nowhere you can avoid that. for the most part, though, i think groups of friends are pretty diverse! and you know, you can always make sure your group of friends is diverse

Tufts is a very diverse school -- that means socio-economically, ethnically, geographically, in terms of passions, interests, skills, everything.

When I was at AOH, things seemed fluid and laid-back. That's not at all to say that there isn't ethnic/cultural segregation at Tufts, because I'm sure there is a bit of it at Tufts as there is at most colleges and almost any other place labeled as "diverse." I may not have spent a great deal of time there, but I got the feeling that most people are very open, find common interests, and wind up becoming friends with all "sorts" of people, and probably without a great deal of effort. I would not worry.

Every school has a little self-segregation. It's unavoidable.

At Tufts, the diversity and worldliness is so in-your-face that it's probably better.
