no doubt. Heythats life, consider jwlee from last year. I felt SOOOOO sorry for him. He had such a rough time, I couldnt believe it. Kjoodles deserved to get in, and you'll find some parallels in test scores and some other parts of their stats...hope Kj is luckier :)

Heh I'm over it... It's Princeton's loss.

So... kj, are you applying to Cornell RD?

Yeah baby... all the way :) ... I'll add vassar into the equation just cauz i can. Lets see- I've revised the list to include a few LACs. Add Brown, Dart, Duke, Northwestern and few others into the equation and there you have it.

Callthecops, Lakshmi and everyone else who was deferred or rejected... I wish you were here. This is truly paradise and the escape you need to get your act together and let the fustration inside you out... nothing is gonna keep me here or stop me now baby. Pton or not- i'm gonna rock this world baby. OUse BaBY yEAH

YEAH BABY! You do that ;)

Hey, callthecops, how did you end up skipping a year? I'm guessing it's a pretty long story and you had no choice.

Hey Kjoodles! That's the way to go man! ;)

Yeah man! Go pwn the admissions process at the ivies!!

heythatslife, I moved from Norway to Korea and when I got to Korea, the school offered me a place in the 11th because 10 grade courses overlapped with what I had already done. I did have a choice though, to do 11th grade courses in 10th, but I made the worst mistake of my life and took up my junior year straight away. I'm repenting till now. Jwlee also skipped a year and I feel I'm gonna follow his footsteps cuz of my bad decision. And worse, I dont even have those hi-fi scores to get me into at least ONE place. eh...I hate my decisions...

kjoodles...thats the right spirit ;)
CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

oh callthecops....pls don't be depressed. I haven't got hi-fi scores either... but I still dream of having a chance...although I won't deny I am a little upset with Brown but am going to make my best to get in, and if I do get in and decide I like Harvard best [yeah...I'm applying to Harvard....just for the fun of it :p :D] then it's Brown's loss, right? ;)

Thats the spirit :) yeah I guess I gotta look at the brighter side of things. IF I get into Wharton or Yale, I'm literally gonna scan my acceptance letter and email it to the Princeton adcoms with a subject as "PRINT THIS OUT AND EAT THIS" :p

But then again, its the big IF.

whoa callthecops2... I liked tht ... good thought!!!

yeah its a neat idea :) pats self on back egotistically :D we getta berate the schools we once loved by showing them an in-your-face example of our success. Lakshmi, Kj, and anyone else deferred - if you dont get into your ED school and into some other fantastic place, just show those adcoms that they gotta eat their words :p

callthecops2, thats a really cool idea ;)
When u will be leading a fortune 500 company, those Adcoms will realise their folly :) then they will wish if u were their University's Alumni...

would the college actually care? i mean, pton is on par with the best institutions... many of their rejects go on to other ivies.

it would have more effect if u were like rejected from a more mediocre college but later got into a top one IMO!

btw i'm not discouraging anyone!! :)

aaron, how was ur A level exam?

Ah, I see. When I applied for transfer at Minjok, having done 2/3 of 9th grade in England, they only had space in the 11th grade - that's how I came to skip a year and a half. I didn't have a choice really; that or Korean public education.

wow. Minjok >>>>> korean public school. No doubt!

btw what are you doing at 3.40 in the morning?!! LOL. Minjok makes you slog it out till so late?

Aaron, "eat my acceptance letter" is for the ED school, not the RD that rejects. I mean, for me, I'd like to shove it in their face if I get into some top place, since they rejected me as an ED candidate, and that too, TWICE. They'd need a bit of a lesson, not to treat people who love(ed) their school so badly.

aaron, how was ur A level exam?

went ok.. not as well as i'd have liked though!

callthecops2: twice? tht's harsh! i feel for ya. one deferral is bad enough!

Cornell ED result's coming out this morning, so I decided to do an all nighter playing games.

You know, winter semester in Minjok in senior year is (almost) a complete doss, actually.
