International ED/EA Thread...

Yale easc: you can find out online and you get a letter. But although I feel about letters the same way as you do, i dont think I can stand to wait for another week or more. Thats really a big disadvantage if you're an international!!!! (and the last letter yale sent me was lost in de mail, so i'll definitly check online)

Yes, definitely! you get things late. I wonder how quick mail gets to Canadian and Mexican residents compared to East Coast-West Coast delivery time in the U.S....

ok....I'm so sad....I continue receiving all sorts of stuff.... yesterday mom brought home a big envelope for me.... I was so thrilled...until I realized it was just the brochre I ordered from Harvad n months ago.... darn! I should've been able to see the results online. If I really want to, I have to call them(already sent them an email) and my mom said I shouldn't. now, instead of finding out on Tuesday...I will have to wait until the end of next week. :(
why does this happen to me?

Lakshmi,
I think you should call on Thuesday! That should do no harm! Decision already made :D.GOOD LUCK !!!!

just saw this..
Yale SCEA - and already freaked out!!
good luck all!

IzzYJ: I will get my decision through both mail and email! Yeah, heard that you are a Malaysian too?? Haha... and how on earth did you end up in Romania?

6 days... bigger gulp

I've gotta be prepared to swallow a rejection or deferral which = slow torture before rejection from Princeton :( biggest gulp

thanks elisa.... but I'm not making that many plans... I would hate a major disappointement when I less need one...that's why I want to stay calm and not hope for too much....my guess: I will be deferred...uhm...like 80% chances.... but thank you again for encouraging me.

good luck to all of you waiting....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

yeah.... I'm confinced more and more that they (yale) will just defer me because nothing really stands out in my application and they will probably want to compare me to other dutch students that dont apply ea... I so hope i'm wrong!!!!!!!

nooo! we are saving the biggest gulp for the decision eve!! :D

lakshmi, seems like u and i are having similar phase- bad time- neither i have received the pin thing and Mount Holyoke also sends its decision by normal mail..." we don't send decisions electronically" darn! man!!!!

whow... I feel bad for you!!! International mail is soooooo slow! I believe every college should post their decisions online, its such a small effort and it can result in major stress relieve!!!!!!!

wise words, flowertje! pure heartless-ness

yay intl' normal mail takes about more than 2 weeks but they'll most prob send me via the EMS

screwup - my dad's job landed my family in Romania.

Hey, dudes, best of luck and besides cursing CB, let's hope we don't have to also curse the slow mail system!

Consider you all smart...
I am stupid enough to apply nowhere early

Deference, don't say that. There other factors going into why some ppl don't apply early that have nothing to do with grades. Procrastination (heehee :o), need for financial aid, school's history of unable to get transcripts or recommendations done early enough, unable to fall enough for one school that you're sure you'd die if you don't get accepted by it...

You ain't stupid.

Yeah Deference, Izzy is right.

my main problem now is procrastination.... I'm not in the mood of doing anything before I find out my ed decision, still I have to get stuff done as soon as posible!!!!!! help!!!!!!!!!! :p

I'm having a hard time gettin' my Common App essay done... :( So many ideas, no way to write it down...and unsure about their suitability before I even write it down!
