No SAT, no guesses. Come back with real result.
Other than that you are on good track. You know Penn is need aware right?

You also need wider nets of schools to apply

Those are some pretty good stats there. You’re right on track, so all you need now is some good SAT scores and great essays. Am also kenyan, applying to penn RD though.

@paul2752 alright I’m doing ACT with Writing and SAT Math 2.
I have like 14 schools
Yale
Harvard
Cornell
Emory
Skidmore
Washington in St. Louis
MIT
Leigh
Purdue
Wesleyan
I’m yet do decide others. No reaches mostly coz the above are pretty much reaches.

@jorgelorenzo I’m working on my ACT speed I hear its the biggest hinderance to good scores hopefully I can get them somewhere above 32
Woking on math 2 aiming for a 750+

That’s pretty cool. Which school in penn? Any ED? any suggestions for a good non reach business?

Scratch off Purdue and WUSTL. They don’t give full aid to international students.

@paul2752 wow! Thanks for the info and prompt reply. So what are some other safer options with good business schools?

From what I know, WUSL and Purdue offer full aid to international students…some of my friends went there this year on full aid. Though WUSL seems pretty much merit based

@sandra6775 yeah you have to be real fast and accurate especially on the reading and science sections
am applying to the school of Engineering and applied sciences but applying ED to Hopkins

am not sure about business schools cause it’s not among my passions but in my opinion Wharton suits you well

@jorgelorenzo Thanks for that bit of info. Awesome I really didn’t wanna cancel them out of my prospectives. Especially WashU. What were your friend(s) stats like?
All the best!
I’ve done some of the prep tests and I’m a little worried some might be deceivingly slightly simpler than the actual test. I’m doing lot of timed tests this last few weeks. Hopefully I’ll be fast enough.
Just out of curiosity which school do/did you attend? What of your friends?

@jorgelorenzo when one talks about FA its mostly need based financial aid. Merit scholarship is a different issue. Purdue, for one,is a PUBLIC university therefore gives no need based aid. WUSTL is a NEED aware private university and does NOT guarantee to meet 100% aid. Therefore, your friends musst have accomplished something extraordinarily special.

@sandra6775
my friend who went to WashU had 2040 in SAT1, and scored 660 in SAT 2 maths level one and 690 in physics. Am not sure about his accolades but he was a really good writer.

Don’t be nervous though, just work on the science and reading section real good.
I deferred from JKUAT so now am working as a mentor at School-series and am an EDU USA scholar …was in Nyeri high school.
my friends, pretty diverse; my former school, bush, boma, patch …list is endless
