I just found out about these types of books and was wondering if anyone had any compatibility issues?

I haven't personally used them, but several people I know have. Sometimes the books are identical as the ones sold here, sometimes there is a chapter or two missing.. but for those chapters you can use the library's copy of the textbook. The international ones are just so much cheaper.

No, I've only had good experiences with international textbooks. In the Fall, I save 3 $150 books for $50 each by buying the international editions. In each book, the paper was the same quality and the pictures were all in color. Except for the different covers, int'l and domestic editions are the same.

I had one for an advertising class. It was the exact same as the US version, except that it was paperback and less than half the price.

So why are they overcharging us? >:(

Because they can.
