Tried googling around, didn't find any concrete answers.

For the MIT Part 1 Application, if you fill in International you are expected to complete "Visa Type", what do you put there? Do you leave it blank?

I'm planning on applying for a F-1 if I get in, but don't have anything right now. My citizenship allows me to enter the USA for 30 days without a Visa.

If you don’t know how to fill in the app, send an email to the admissions office and ASK.

An MIT education takes more than 30 days so just putting that down won’t cut it. An F1 visa needs you to show you have sufficient funds to attend your school of choice. MIT will help with that as necessary but he school has limited funds and paperwork to do. That limits the number they can admit and they need to know your ultimate visa status, I believe. Ask and actually find out.

Ohhhh, crap.
I left it blank, I took “if applicable” to mean that I’m supposed to fill it in only if I’m currently in the US =( -,- (attending a US high school or something…).

Btw, isn’t an F1 a visa type for all students?
