So I just found out that Cornell does NOT guarantee to meet the financial need of all accepted international students... I was super happy the last 2 days and now I'm kind of depressed.. haha. I come from a low-income family (annual income of ~$45k) and there is practically NO chance for me to be able to afford Cornell if I don't receive aid.

So my question is: has any accepted international student heard anything from the financial aid office yet? I read from class of 2015 threads that last year, Cornell sent e-mails on April 1st (I guess that's when they mailed everything) informing internationals who weren't eligible for financial aid saying that Cornell could not provide any aid. If they did the same thing this year, theoretically they should've sent those e-mails on March 30th (yesterday), and there should be internationals who were informed of this unfortunate news, right? Or did they not do that this year?

Aah, what an awful situation.

Thanks and good luck, everyone! Stay sane! :)
