I have applied for freshmen this year. I’m an international student and have applied for aid. Do chances reduce MISERABLY while applying for Fin Aid.

Pretty much.

Columbia is “need-aware” not “need-blind.”

This is the Brown board, not Columbia’s.

Yes, Brown is need-aware for first year international applicants, and therefore, it is easier to gain admission as an international if you don’t apply for aid. However, it’s hard to say what it means for your chances to be “reduced miserably.” The adcom considers a lot of things, especially for internationals.

Ah. Sorry :(

I am getting confused with the boards :)

I am pretty sure, I saw the same thread on Columbia. Any way, even Brown is need aware and not need blind for international first year applicants.

Tizil you would have seen it there.

Bu chances reducing I mean- How many internationals do they take with Fin Aid?

Colleges like Duke & Stanford explicitly say - Around 20-25 intermationals.
