I've been looking through Mac's site and I dont't really see anything about their aid policy for international students. Does it meet 100% need?

Mac does not claim need-blindness with respect to international or U.S. students. They do, however, make an unqualified statement that they meet 100% need for every admitted student:
[Financial Aid in General](Financial Aid Office - Financial Aid Office)

They specifically acknowledge that FA consideration for international students depends on need alone.

[Internaional Student Financial Aid](http://www.macalester.edu/financialaid/apply_intnl.html)

I would take this as assurance that they will meet all the need (as calculated by them) of every admitted international student.

Ok, adding some more information for any future international student who must be going through the hectic and unclear int’l application and fin aid process.

Macalester’s way of calculating your need (and your family contribution) is different from what you think, and you may receive way less than you expected.
I was awarded Kofi Anan scholarship valuing sth close to $21,000 with loans and employment but even so, you know Mac IS indeed an expensive school.

Applying for fin aid at any school definitely hurt your chances unless you are absolutely amazing student that all schools would want.

I was rejected BECAUSE OF financial aid from other schools (UofRichmond, St.Lawrence) that I applied to with an intention of getting financial aid.

Thus one thing I want to tell all int’l students who apply for fin aid is…

NEVER EVER overestimate or underestimate your family’s financial capability.!!
