Hi! I’m in a weird situation when it comes to GPA and I would appreciate some advise. My country doesn’t do GPAs nor is it in my transcript that’s being sent over. However, my guidance counselor did inform me that in her recommendation she used some sort of tool to calculate a GPA for me, which I don’t think is that official, but nonetheless sent in with my application with her recommendation. Now what I’m wondering is if I should put down the GPA in my MyCoalition Profile. On one hand, the US AOs probably know that my country don’t have GPAs, but on the other hand I don’t want to be seen as putting out a conflicting message from what my guidance counselor has put. Should I put down the GPA she put down, with her word making it official, or should I just leave it as my school doesn’t report GPAs in the profile? Thanks prior-hand.
Say that your school does not report GPAs. AOs will view the transcript in context.
Use your country’s grading system AND a scale (ie., If you have a national educational system or board, % who get x score nationally, % who get z score nationally, etc; or, of the school system is not national then province or state based, or school based…).
