International June 4 test

what did u guys put for the last qn. in the 20qn math section abt n(n+1) …thot it was quite tough does any1 rem. this qn?

The answer was (n+2)(n+3)/2.
It said that the sum of consecutive integers from 1 to n was n(n+1)/2. Then if you added the two following numbers, what is the sum expressed by?

It was [(n+2)(n+3)]/2

huss are you sure “intent about” is option A

Abrayo was that choice B? coz i ranout of time n guessd…george im pretty sure it was A…mayb am wrong though…does any! rem the c.r passg about the young girl going to her home town…was she homesick or describing her familys circumstances…and was she criticizing her aunt for being snobbishly excessive…lets kip this thread going folks.

hmm, okay I remember that one question from the 10th section which had “from either” in it. I guess the correct answer was A and I was confused between A and B. it was number 12 or 13.

The answers for the young girl home town question are in the other thread.
I don’t think the math answer was option B. I’m thinking D or E?

I’m really worried about that “CAN BE” math question now… so was it I II AND III?
Ugh I put I and II…

concerning the math question posted a few posts above… option number three was impossible. i think it was if 4 can be the median… even if the students got all the answers wrong for 5-question test it wouldn’t be 4 or more. it probably would be 3 or so. I believe I re-checked it.

I think those are just wrong replies … I think “must be” is correct…

What do you think the CR curve will be? bad/good ?

yeah i rem the either one …i think i put choice D…might have missd it…do u rem the writing qn abt…'‘if he would have…’'i think its wrong coz wen making a contrary to fact statement u shudnt use would…i think the ans was 'if he were to’wat abt the passg qn?

@huss182 yes I remember that there was one that had to be “if he were to”…

guys can anyone remember the one that had spare as an option in the Sentence Completion. I completely don’t remember this one… :(

No, the “the median is 4” was option II, wasn’t it? Because the median HAD to have been 4.
With 8 5s and 7 4s, that leaves 5 other options for 3 or less. Which means that 4 HAD to be the median.
I believe the third option was whether or not the average was 4 or more? or something?
I solved it by making the other 5 options equal to zero, and saw that the average was only 3.4 - less than 4, which made the statement wrong.
But if it asked for what CAN BE, then III is also right…
Unfortunately I think I remember it asking CAN BE, not MUST BE.
Does anyone else remember anything?

I don’t remember this “if he were to” question… could anyone elaborate? Was this CR or W?

Also the curve for CR last year is posted on the first page.

the qn was in writin…if he were to(do smth) he would have succeded
ans was A no error…bt choice C was if he would have…pretty sure abt this.

oops I meant average

Uh oh. Don’t remember what I put for that writing question.
Do you guys remember the “go to college to become a doctor” one? I think it was in Section 10.

@NaderMekadis: Hahha yeah that’s what I thought, no worries.
So you think it asked for MUST BE and not CAN BE?

hmm…I’m not 100% sure… :frowning: guys what did the SC question that had spare as an answer say??

the qn abt phone number error was 6 right? n wat abt the grid 1 that was 8x+2y=k,2x+y=26…was the answer 104,26 or 14…av seen confliting answers

yes it definitely was 6! and 104… the two equations have to be identical so they would have infinite number of solutions… 104/4 is equal to 26 which was the one in the former equation… I got 9970 wrong!! :frowning: how stupid…

I wasn’t clear! so yes 104! :)

Phone number error…? Was six option A?
How many numbers were there?

Yes it was definitely 104!

Sorry I don’t remember the “spare” question.
