International & learning disability. any chance at all? or any advice?

hey. ok, so i guess this is sort of a x-post, but its a slightly different question. Over the holidays I saw a psychologist and had an assesment done. I'm going to a community college in BC, where my GPA is 2.6, because although I've been getting consistantly in the C+-A range for the last year, I more or less failed my first two semesters because I wasn't getting any help from disability services and had a hard time getting work done. Anyway. so, my question is - would it be possible for me to get into a university in the states or not?
preferably something on the west coast.
or..has anyone got any other advice?

I think it will be most effective to identify which services you need, and be able to show that you can be successful with them- in a community college setting, which may have smaller classes and be more responsive than a larger university.

After you can show that you can do well, then that would be much easier to transfer to another school.
However- if I reread your post correctly, then that is what you have already done, I would go ahead and apply, but first be upfront about what you need for support. It may limit your acceptances, but better to know who will work with you beforehand, than be attending a school and find that they don't have the services you need.

But you may have heard- schools across the country are downsizing because of the economy & it may be more difficult to attend.
