Dartmouth, Harvard, MIT, Middlebury, Princeton, Williams, Yale and Amherst are the colleges which are needblind for international students.
Which of these colleges shouold i apply to..?
SAT 1- 1990
SAT 2- Maths 1 - 740
Chemistry - 740
Biology - 700
G.P.A- I am from india and we do not follow the american grading system. However I am in the top 10% of my class.
E.Cs - Won an all India Robotics competetition and represented India at the World Robot Olympiad at Taipei, taiwan. I play the guitar for a band, and my bnd has won many "Battle of the Bands". I have a lot of school competitions and won a government award for exceptional performance in Sanskrit (its a language for those who are unsure). I also topped my school in an all India "Cyber Olympiad" where i secured anational of 100.

I cannot afford to pay for most colleges and am counting for scholarships or financial aid to help me fulfill my dream of studying in America. Can you guys please help me choose which colleges to apply to? In which of the above need blinds do i have a reasonable chance to get into?
Thank you in advance

as the above posters said, bring your SAT I to around 2150, and then you'll have a really awesome chance, specially at MIT cuz of your tech related awesome EC's

Its almost december now, so i dont think i have enought time to give another SAT exam, im already trying to get my applications in place. Can anyone suggest any more colleges where i have a considerable chance for Scholarships/Aid with my present credentials?

Many colleges accept January SAT scores!..
You can go for December as well (consider some late fee, and yeah, ask the schools for it, like American Embassy School).

Well in december im giving maths 2 subject test because some of my friends told me that maths 1 isnt accepted by all colleges..don't know if its true but i want to give maths 2 anyway ( pretty sure ill get 800), and Jan will be too late cuz ill have preboards..and i have to study for them too :s..so much to do such little time lol.

Is there a possibility of taking a gap year? The problem is that you wont be competitive at the need blind schools coming from India (the most competitive pool) currently. You can apply to schools like Purdue which is known to give good merit aid to Internationals but the pickings get slim after the few top need blind schools and if you think you can bring up the scores, the top schools are worth waiting for.

hmm purdues a good option because their fees are anyway cheaper than most..and half scholarship on thats pretty good..anymore colleges like purdue?? Also do you think purdue will give me a merit aid?
