Do you guys go to international schools or local schools in your country?

i went to 2 “high schools”.. oh wait, and another one back in my home country. i guess that makes it 3. all of them were local schools.

I received my BA from a US (local) university, but have also attended 2 international universities.

I attended a local (public! :O) high school. But it looks like most international students at my university attended an international school (American School of [insert any major city in the world] or something like that)

I go to a local public high school. I’m happy about it because it is the best HS in my country ;p

Local…the intl one here is too full of snobs

^lol same with my homecity.

My school sucks though, full of incompetent teachers and preppy students. Well just one more year.

local public high school.. it doesn’t matter as long as it’s a decent school..

Small local public school. English teachers there changed nearly every month, but in general it was pretty good.

It doesn’t matter. Schools nowadays throw around the word international like it’s nobody’s business.

I completely agree with S33D. There could be over 20 “international” schools in my city alone, with only 3 or 4 among them that are actually good.

I went to a pretty well-established international school. The quality of education there was pretty good, but from the looks of things, it’s slowly starting to decline. Shame, really.

^ same here. Now our school is including ESL and accepting students from the other crappy int’l school.

Hmm, in Singapore there are quite a few international schools nowadays, some affiliated to public high schools. Still the fees are astronomical and who needs international school when the local system is good? Public magnet high school ftw.

I went to the American School here

singapore american school ;)

local highschool, offering IB and the norwegian system.. third best highschool in oslo (by admission critera), average ~33/45 IB points for the IB kids. Decent, but nothing spectacular. There is one international school in the oslo area (if you don’t count the French school as international), but its bloody expensive..

rister: i think your observation about penn is most correct ;)

i went to both…singapore local and international…the international school was full of snobs and way too expensive

^which international school did u go to ?

Local school.

^ which one? =)
