International Public Health/Public Health major?

I've been looking at majors and such and I'm really interested in the medical field or something related to it. I stumbled upon this "International Public Health" major and it looks very interesting. What colleges offer this as a major? Help please!

Thanks. :)

I’m quite sure that Johns Hopkins does. They are very much known for international relations as well as for medicine and I think they are strong in the public health area.

Public Health Schools are usually graduate-level programs. At the undergrad level, a number of universities now offer a major, minor, or certificate program called “Global Health”. So, search under that term. Sometimes, it’s offered as a track in an interdisciplinary International Relations or International Studies program. Also at the undergrad level, some nursing schools offer some coursework and study abroad options, though it seems to be a more common option at the MSN level under Global Health nursing or International Nursing. Check the nursing schools at UPenn or Case Western Reserve for more on this. Finally, you will find options in anthropology departments that offer coursework in medical anthropology. Michigan, for example, offers a minor in medical anthropology. You also might find relevant coursework in some nutrition programs, especially those at large land grant universities, such as Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Cornell, that have significant involvement in international development. At the graduate level, check schools of public health. Tulane would be a good one to look into. Tufts’ graduate school in nutrition offers relevant coursework as well

I second Johns Hopkins. Also look into the University of Rochester. We currently offer 4 majors under Public Health in collaboration with the School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Clemson (SC)

Michigan State offers a interdisciplinary studies in social science-health studies major (within the College of Social Science), along with specializations in global public health & epidemiology as well as international development.

Clemson has an International Health & Language Major available for Chinese and Spanish: [Clemson University : Languages : Academic Programs](http://www.clemson.edu/caah/languages/academic_programs.html)
