i know its a bit early

Would this count for those who applied to schools with rolling admissions?

And, very cute reason to start this thread, ronty. I just hope it won't diverge too much from its purpose. :D

yes,its for all those not covered under the ED/EA scheme...
It will be on topic...but some random talk is always welcome...

OMG OMG OMG I GOT INTO PRINCETON !#$@#^@%$^#&%@!!!!!!!!! OMG IM SO HAPPY!!!

gotcha thinking there, eh? lol I'm just really tense. Trying to think positive here :p

Man... I really believed at first sight that u got in at ur Dream School... I wish u all the best! :)

thanks my desi bro ;) Hope you do well in the RD round :)

I bet as soon as this thread pops up, people will think "WHOA...he got into PRINCETON. wow!" :p They just gotta scroll down a bit to see the harsh reality lol.

thanks...and yes, the reaction will be the same from all the viewers... ;)
u r smart...

lol if having this talent could be a hook for getting into Princeton, life would be great :p living in fool's paradise

btw, u r originally from which Indian State? I m from Bihar

By dad's from Bombay and my mom's from Madras, but originally a few generations back, from Varanasi i think. Bihar...hm you might be knowing Prashant (mercurysquad). He was a pretty cool guy, a CCer from Patna. He's at IUB and applying as a transfer to MIT...hope he gets in. Poor guy had a rough time last year with admissions...deserved to get in, but that stupid goddamn SAT was his only drawback. Same as mine :p

yes, i know Prashant very well... He guides a lot regarding the app process... he is a Good Person :)

yeah. He managed to got from a 650 to an 800 in math IIC. Lucky him :)

The funny thing is that Im really not too optimistic at all about US admissions. I had lower end scores last year - in the 2nd 25% say at cornell for comparitive purposes, and ended up getting rejected at EVERY school I applied to in the states (Cornell, D'mouth, Princeton, Duke, and what came as a big shocker, even GAtech) Goddamnit i even had legacy at GAtech and my scores were in the top 25%. I really think the admissions system there is so unpredictable.

clears throat callthecops, I was wondering why you would post it in the International RD board of all places and not in the ED board.

All the best for the next few days awaiting the decision!

Thanks Izzy. Is there an International ED Results Thread? As far as I know, there's only an int'l EA/ED thread which is darn full! scratches head well anyway, in my mood swings with respect to my ED decision, I overlooked the RD bit in the thread's title. Anyway...I'v flown back into pessimissm mode. It's crazy...this whole process is driving me nuts.

I think...martin made one? It may be on the 2nd page of this forum...

Callthecops, we both r GAPPERS...
