International Relations/3 years science

I will be applying to several UCs next year, as well as my top choice, NYU. I have decided not to take a science my senior year (I have taken conceptual physics, bio, and chem honors) because I am already taking 4 AP courses and I want to be able to maintain a stable GPA. I was wondering if this would hurt me, as I am applying to NYU’s college of arts and sciences and UCs to major in IR.

Thank you!

Anyone? CAS has science majors, but IR is not a science major. My GPA and ECs are good, but my SAT needs work and I’ll be taking the ACT in the fall. I’d love to know if I should change my schedule to include an AP science (though it could hurt my GPA).

I’ve gotten mixed responses from my GC and different teachers. Was anyone else in a similar situation?
Bump.

Can you list

  • science classes already taken
  • foreign language level that you’ll reach at the end of senior year
  • social sciences/history classes taken by the end of senior year

@MYOS1634 thanks for the reply!

science classes:
conceptual physics
biology
chem honors

foreign language level at end of senior year:
AP Spanish

social sciences:
AP Euro
APUSH
AP Goc/Econ
Psychology

Since you have all three of physics, bio, and chem, you’re good. Take what you want for next year.
Do run the NPC for all ujversities and include more than UC’s and Nyu.
Occidental has one of the best programs in ca and of course check out the gold standards - Tufts, jhu, Georgetown, gwu, and American.
