International Relations at Davis?

Currently I’m a Sophomore at Davis, and I was just looking at my options, since I am still stumped/screwed as far as finding a major that I find fitting for myself.

I was wondering if people knew anything about the IR program at Davis and could give me some information about it? I don’t really know anyone older who has gone through it already or something. It seems to be pretty popular at Davis. I recently took POL 3, and it was one of the more interesting classes I’ve taken so far, but I found it to be incredibly challenging. Is this a bad sign of things to come?

This isn’t really a problem, but is it just me, or is the major PACKED (like straight up 3 to 1 or something) with girls?

The International Relations program at Davis is among the best in the nation, and has been called the best in the UC system. It’s impacted (as I’m sure you’re aware), and I would highly recommend pursuing that degree if you’re interested in it. I’m not an IR major, but I know people who are IR majors and it is somewhat difficult (obviously, some classes more than others, just like any other major), but I wouldn’t be too discouraged. It’s more important that you find it interesting and you will enjoy it.
