I was looking on their site, and it said that IR is an honors major, and that only 25-30 are accepted each year. If this is true, then it must be VERY difficult, anyone here currently majoring in IR, and if so, what type of grades did you need to get in the IR program.

To even be considered for admission to the IR program, you'll need a minimum GPA of 3.65 and some decent internship experience.

Oh i see, that sucks.

I recently spoke with someone who was in the IR program. According to my short conversation with him:

If you don't get in, there's no problem. You can still take the same (or most of the) courses - you just won't get the shiny name on your diploma.

The most successful candidates are those who show interest through previous internships or coursework.

Hope that helped a bit.

I don't go to NYU, but from what I've heard from students are while IR only does accepts 25-30 people, in comparison to others, very few people actually apply so... shrugs
